Base Compensation
Base compensation varies based on the state you reside, previous birth record and if you are a first-time or repeat surrogate. Base Compensation is distributed once you are pregnant in nine equal payments.
Reimbursable Benefits
Reimbursable benefits are pre-determined at legal to be paid at cost for items such as additional medical bills, travel, bedrest, childcare and etc. Surrogates should never incur any out-of-pocket costs for journey expenses.

SurrogatePLUS+ is a special program designed for surrogates that meet specific requirements that enable us to quickly match you. Surrogates that qualify will enjoy up to an additional $15,000 in base compensation.

Requirements For Becoming A Surrogate
- Age between 21-40 years old
- BMI between 18-32
- Be a U.S. citizen, legal resident or legal immigrant
- No history of clinical mental illness
- Must allow background checks both Surrogate and husband/partner
- Six months need to pass since last vaginal or cesarean birth
- Must have given birth to and be raising at least one child
- A non-smoker living in a non-smoking home

How much do surrogates get compensated?
At SurrogateFirst, our Surrogate Compensation Packages start from $40,000 to $60,000 with additional benefits up to $20,000 based on location and number of previous surrogacies.
There are also many other benefits that you can receive for your contribution. Full health benefits, life insurance, and all other related costs are covered.
SurrogateFirst offers one of the most competitive and transparent compensation packages in the industry.
If you refer friends, you can also earn up to $1,000 per referral!
Who pays the medical cost of the pregnancy?
The intended parents are responsible for all pregnancy related medical cost. They will pay for at least one year of health insurance.
How do I begin the process?

How long does the surrogacy process take?
It will takes 1-12 weeks to conduct the surrogacy research, 1-4 weeks to make sure the applicant meet all the necessary requirements, After that we will take another 2-8 weeks to go through the rest of the application process and finally, sign the agency contract.
After that we will go through the medical screening process that will took up around 1-4 weeks followed by 1-2 weeks of psychological evaluation.
The matching process with intended parents will usually takes 2-8 weeks. After that, you will start taking medication and attend the monitoring appointments for 4 weeks before transfer of embryo. If it's a success, you will be having the first ultrasound 4-6 weeks from transfer. If the transfer of embryo fails, we will try again in 2 weeks time.
You will be released to OB care after 8-10 weeks from the embryo transfer, where you will be well taken care of the entire time until the successful delivery.
What medication will I be taking?
You will be taking 9 types of medication:
DOXYCYCLINE:
Administered before and after the embryo transfer to prevents infection and prevent the body from rejecting the embryo when it is implanted.
LUPRON (leuprolide acetate):
To administered before embryo transfer to prevent the surrogate’s natural cycle and usual hormone exchange that causes follicle production and ovulation.
LOW DOSE ASPIRIN:
Aspirin assists with cycle stimulation and impending embryonic implantation. This medication will continue until 12 weeks of pregnancy.
VIVELLE PATCHES (estradiol)
The patch is applied to the skin prior to the embryo transfer and through the first 12 weeks of pregnancy to helps grow the lining of the uterus which maintains an early pregnancy.
ESTRACE (estradiol)
To be administer prior to the embryo transfer and through the first 12 weeks of pregnancy for the preparation and thickening of the uterine lining for the implantation of the embryo and the maintenance of early pregnancy.
PROGESTERONE / PROMETRIUM / ENDOMETRIN
To be injected days prior to the embryo transfer and through the first 12 weeks of pregnancy for the preparation of the uterine lining for the implantation of the embryo and the maintenance of early pregnancy.
TETRACYCLINE
Broad-spectrum antibiotic to be taken orally a few days prior to the embryo transfer to help prevent infection from occurring.
MEDROL (methylprednisolone)
Suppress the autoimmune system from interfering with embryo implantation to decrease the risk of embryo rejection. To be taken during the beginning the day of retrieval and ending the day of embryo transfer.
PRENATAL VITAMINS
Taken before the transfer and throughout the entire pregnancy to ensure the surrogate and baby are getting the proper nutrients.
How do you find me a surrogacy match?
We take your profile, our current intended parents’ profiles and look for the best fit for both of you. We have years of experience matching surrogates and intended parents. You are a key part of this process; we will always have both the surrogate and intended parents approve the profiles. When both parties feel that there could be a possible match, we then set up a video meeting for you to get to know each other.
Will I have to pump/ breastfeed?
That is completely your choice. Some IP's may ask that you breastfeed their baby after birth. Surrogates are compensated at a rate of $200 a week for her efforts and time pumping. Intended parents will pay for supplies and shipping if need be.
Can I choose my own OB and hospital?
Yes, we work with you to find the right insurance plan and doctors.
Am I able to work out as a surrogate?
Yes, you can continue your healthy lifestyle and exercise as long as the doctor sees that doing so will harm neither you nor the baby.
Will I use my own eggs?
No, SurrogateFirst works with the intended parent’s embryos
